@Filip: is there a Christmas present, i.e. a new Android app?

The much awaited functionalities (including communication via server for reliable remote access or notifications) depend on the changes in Base firmware and the server. We're still working on all of these components but unfortunatelly it will not be possible to finish it before Christmas.

Seems to be a huge update, i'm looking forward ...

Wie stehen die Chancen das das Amazon Fire Phone unterstützt wird? Das gibt's ja mittlerweile zu einem guten Kurs.

Wanted to share small news, since few days we are running new version of the server software that supports remote connections over DEAP used by Android Remote.

As it is now, Remote tries to connect to your Base in three distinct ways in parallel, then selects one that has lowest latency:

1. Direct connection to the Base
2. Connection to the server, attempt to setup UDP path through firewall and communicate directly
3. Connection to the server and routing of DEAP packets over server, which has higher latency but is more "firewall resistant"

New server also supports Google Notifications, that work very similarly to current Apple Notifications.
We are finalizing Play Store application submission, in about 2-3 weeks it should be officially available as version 1.0
